Thing with Brown is that he did the same last season, played well at the beginning, got injured and the team dipped and when he came back they never recovered. They were lucky not to be in £1m game even with Brown.

If it was a longer mini-league (e.g. Home and away games against everybody) and there was no one-off million pound game, I think the SL teams would be on pretty solid ground. But as it is, it only takes the odd surprise result to shake things up. Which, tbf, is how it should be - the SL teams have enough of an advantage.

While we're struggling, Rovers are not the worst team in SL history - we're not even the worst so far this season. And we got beaten by Oldham, at home. Really can't afford to be complacent.

Can't see any Championship club troubling the Super League teams. The disparity in the respective salary caps will always maintain the status quo, which is the weakness in the system.
Rovers will have far too much for anything a championship side could throw at them, especially if you keep your half backs on the field.

Strangely that result could actually end up coming as a blessing in disguise because, If and when Rovers do come up against lower league opposition then I'm sure the challenge cup result against Oldham will be in the back of the players minds which should shake off any complacency they might otherwise have had.

Well, you would certainly hope so.
