I have to admit that Wardill has been asked to play too many games this season for his own good but I can't see what else the club could do.

I can not believe young Joe is better than Dixon with all his super league experience do you not think you have killed this kids confidence and ruined him cause maybe he should have been playing for a lot of these games this season ?

With regards to Dixon. Rightly or wrongly, Joe did play and showed some real determination and grit, which has been lacking in Dixon and despite His lack of experience, he has a maturity and humility that Dixon appears to lack.

Dixon is injured too, although he'd fallen behind Wardill before that.

His confidence is likely down, but I don't think 'we' have mishandled him particularly. His performances early this season just weren't good enough, and he'd become a target.

fair enough you guys watch him week in week out he is a rocks and diamonds player at Leeds when you thrashed them he scored a great try he can be a match winner on his day and I thought it a bit silly getting him injured playing for Newcastle thunder when your injury list is as long as it is again bit poor decision making I think that when your so down in numbers !

Well you may throw your rock and hide your hand

Big wraps for the kid and he's only young so he will be fine , its not as if he's gonna be asked to do it every week !!
If it was a fc lad we'd be praising him as you guys are doing now and rightly so

I am (was) a massive defender of Dixon, even after the Wembley horror show but even I have to admit he needed time at a lower level to get his confidence back. He was shot in the few games he played this year and most of his diamonds had turned to rocks. I would have slapped myself for saying this at the beginning of the season but Cockayne was the far better option at FB.

Yeah, everybody plays up a reserves comp, as it gives more players more opportunities and a bigger squad means extra depth.

More games will inevitably mean more injuries too though.
