That's a fair post, although lots of your fans didn't want Abdul and I thought he was your best player yesterday, and he has a more pivotal role, although I suppose he is more experienced.

Luke Page would be an excellent signing, particularly in the division we are in.

Kept a slight interest in him since the famous YouTube video and by all accounts has the same sort of impact playing in the Queensland Cup but is playing a lot more minutes.

I would class him in the Kylie Leuluai type of prop, very aggressive with a decent engine.

Would be worlds apart to all props in regards to skill levels in the Championship.

Not getting giddy after yesterdays game but for the first time in a few years the players looked fit and organised to say it was the first run out, my stand outs were Scruton, Clark and Addy but more than happy with all the new lads performances.
Liam Salter did really well also after a long absence,onwards and upwards.

Page put in a good account in the PNG v Fiji international last year - I believe the match is still available on Youtube, cracking game.

Tbf, I wasn't especially keen on Abdull. But if what we saved there allowed us to get Ellis, then I guess you have to look at recruitment as a whole.

Matonga as well as an experienced prop, would be okay, I suppose. I think though that we can probably take a little bit of a risk on depth early in the season to leave more in the kitty for mid-season strengthening.

I hope Abdul proves his doubters wrong (including me) but if he flunks we have Quinlan, Addy or Hefernan as
able replacements.

I heard the rumour about Matonga before kick-off so I kept an eye on him, and TBH he spent more time behind the action than putting himself forward as an option, he also missed a number of tackles. He looks a lazy player. Surely there are better options out there?

So I wonder who these surprise signings are. That tim sheen has told the mail we will be bringing in and at least one prop will be announced hopefully by end of week

Don't think he told the Mail. He said that on krtv a few days ago. A lot of what HDM print is just a rehash of things on our website.

Silly me I actually thought the mail actually did some reporting for once.. but if tim has got some gem signings up his sleeve why not name them, then it may make them not sure fans get a season pass and put us over 6k
