There are pictures of it on the daily mirror website in their RL section.

Hardly surprising they've shut the whole ground as the other lights will have been designed / installed to the same specs and calcs as this one, looks like someone in the design and construct company have got this majorly wrong.

Who ever got it wrong rovers should sue them they must have lost a lot of money with the ground closed

Someone has posted on the Total RL forum that the game has been switched to the KCOM?? Highly unlikely, with Hull putting out social media posts today about the amount of tickets sold

I can only think the flaws in the lights are very serious for the whole ground to be quarantined? Any HSE experts on here??

Only sharing from Hull KR TV.........Neil Hudgell says the 3 remaining floodlight pylons will be safe & operational for the first Super League game the fallen pylon will be replaced and operational by the end of February. Temporary lights will replace the fallen pylon whilst required.

The new scoreboard will probably not now be operational for the first game having slipped down the order of priorities.

Taking legal action for lost revenue is very much a last option the club has good relationships with all parties.

A plank of the highest order. Wouldn't have minded being away 1st game up tbf as it's been a fair while since we actually played well at home in the Derby. Saying that we haven't looked this strong in years so hopefully a win is due

As far as I'm aware, the floodlights are owned by Hull City Council and are rented by Hull KR so who called for the total evacuation I don't know but one would imagine HCC will be taking things up with the contractors. I was also told that the floodlight that came down contained Mercury and that this spread over the in-goal area. apparently, Mercury is dangerous stuff for health, how exactly, if this is true, the Mercury is being located, I don't know.

Mercury? I very much hope not it can be highly toxic and hazardous to health not to mention difficult to decontaminate. Would think this is exaggeration if community activities resume at CP next week.

They'll likely be mercury vapour bulbs in a floodlight. The quantity of mercury in each is tiny though i'm not sure what amount is deemed safe.

4/5 mg per bulb according to health and safety so no worries. Think the remaining stanchions was the concern.
