Well get some more beatings this year. Well win some. The coach shouldn't publicly make excuses...real or not..for a 40-0 beating at home. He should say publicly it is unacceptable. Wane wouldn't tolerate it Ferguson Mourinho etc. Webster shouldn't either or the players will lose confidence in themselves and him.

We did thanks to their fantastic kicking game and a winger who can't defend. Catalan are the best team we've played.

Catalan got put on a team penalty in the first half as when we finally got the ball they couldn't control the ruck. Our halves then did nothing with it.

Tilse and Campese get unfair criticism on here. I used Pritchard's 'efforts' as a comparison. He's up to a massive 98 tackles this year. My intention was not to reduce this interesting thread to the usual nonsense.

Our neighbours are prickly about Frank cause so far he's disappointed. They are going well and win without him. Not the same if Sneyd or Houghton were missing. Players they criticise unfairly. But enough of them we have enough problems.

Our response at Cas is important and will tell us a lot about Webster as a coach. We need to be the most motivated team in that game. If we aren't then things may get more unpleasant.

Not prickly at all. He's not at 100% but hes still making more yards than most players. He's getting better IMO the more he plays. The person in question , I think you all know who's rattling the cage. Of course this is just tit tattle isn't it .

As most of your fans will agree your current predicament is due to terrible recruitment a weak and small squad and injuries again to key players. This season is a write off but the one ray of hope is that you have a group of young talented players in Greenwood, Mulhearn, Lawler, Mimms and Oakes who will have benefited from game time. If you can keep Green and Walker and Lunt stays fit you will definitely challenge for the top eight next season. Sio is a terrific player but rarely gets used properly and I'd be surprised if he stays. The main problem is the amount of cap that's tied up in injury prone or average quota players. There's no doubting his quality but extending Campese's contract was madness. Kelly when fully fit was superb last season but god knows what's going on with him now. If you could somehow get rid of these two together with Tilse and maybe Allgood this will free up a huge amount of cap and quota space to reinvest, easier said than done of course. Your new coach has got a massive job on his hands.

Chester had to go for his sake as well as ours. Rubbish preseasongate was a lesson he could learn from but probably not one he could recover from at Rovers.

We've got sympathy for Webster because he's trying to tidy up somebody else's mess. We'd be angrier at Chester, and that wouldn't help him or us.

As for your rumblings, without asking for specifics, would I be correct in assuming it is just the familiar FC fan 'let's traduce Hudgell' thing?

We should have codes for these things. It'd speed things up no end.

1 = FC fan chatting half-baked provocative poop.
2 = roversmad reacting angrily to a post.
3 = mild rover being boring

That sort of thing.

I would have Pritchard over Tilse anytime, Tilse has the odd good spell everynow and then, but most of the time he's useless. People talk about his great one on one defence but little Richie Myler shrugged him off a tackle,
