Folk on here need to get a grip. We’ve walked this league. Tactically managed today’s result to put us in the box seat for promotion. And the form of Leigh and Widnes puts us favourites for the automatic third place after Warrington and Les Cats. AND I suspect this is all irrelevant. I heard today that the Rovers hierarchy have already had some (off record) assurances for next year and Super League with the increase in numbers to 13. This makes sense with us able to secure Carney, McGuire, Masoe and I heard today young Jack Walker from Leeds linking up with JP. The crying over a couple of games not exerting ourselves is shortsighted and total failure to see the big picture.

if you went to the game today, then you must be a troll or comedian posting that , we have no chance
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

In your opinion.
And you're entitled to it.
Call me daft, but I expect when I put aside other things and shell out my hard earned that the team actually give a shizzle.
I have however developed a new theory, which if we have signed Jack Walker works.
I think Sheens is working towards a Total Rugby team, in the mold of Rinus Michael's 1970's Ajax team. We'll play with four props, who all have a kicking game, six half backs and three full backs. Everyone rotates depending on the attacking play that's called by one of the six half back's or defends, depending on the call of one of the three full backs.
Actually, I disagree. You do have a chance. Regardless of the last two results, you have the best Championship squad. Make the MPG, and it's a one-off game.
As for the previous post around "tactically managed today's result" you clearly weren't at the game. Effort in spades from HKR, but on the day not good enough. Fax played virtually at 100% today. We can't do that through the 8's, but we're really happy to be in there having a go.
Lastly, spouting "off record" assurances for next year should be regarded as trolling. Especially for someone with 37 posts to their name. The RFL aren't renowned for getting things right, but (imo) even they wouldn't move the posts so radically for just the next season.

No it's you that needs to get a grip, matey.
As I recall you were dancing around again with your Harry Potter wand and fairy dust canisters at the same stage last season saying we were far too good to get relegated and continued this misguided optimism on through the 8s and the rest is history. You lost credibility then, you're shot to bits now imo.
You can't plan anything on off record hearsay from SL clubs voting in August on SL reorganisation and you are wrong to infer that it's a given at this point in time.
I also understand the fullback to be Will Dagger from Warrington, so there's a chance you've got that wrong too.
We're not in good form heading into these important 7 games and it's not something you can turn on just like that.

I like your confidence but can't help remembering your predictions for last years middle 8s

Genius.
He's got Michel´s haircut...you're onto something. Scruton as Cruyff. It's all coming together.

Best of luck in the 8's.
You thought there was effort in that performance from rovers lol, and yes I was there. If booting the ball in to touch every time we were near the fax line chasing the game is classed as effort, then yea, there was plenty.
The reality is that the team today and daft tactics were miles away from the one that will take the field in the 8's. Sheens has been planning meticulously for almost a year and we have pulled off some top signings IF we even need them with other SL clubs keen for us to return. We are in a great position with a far stronger team than last year. Time for positivity methinks.
