Hull FC occupy the KCOM Stadium by the virtue of an accident of geography. How many millions would it have cost to bring the Boulevard up to standard which in all honesty was a slum in parts? If reports from a few years were correct Adam Pearson wanted to move Hull FC into their own stadium and the prefered location was the old Birds Eye factory on Hessle High Road and he was trawling around looking for investors. The cost of course was astronomical. The North Stand at Craven Park cost around £8 million and that was over 5 years ago. So four similar stands would cost £32 million for a capacity of circa 8,000 if it were to be all seated; more if not all seated. And that's at the prices of over 5 years ago. I don't think that Hull FC are in a good place financially at the moment hence their lack of quality recruitment and their retention of players in 2018. The hospitality facilities at Craven Park compare favourably with other Rugby League stadiums.
No, we occupy the KCOM because we are an anchor tenant and the funding wouldn't have been forthcoming if FC and City hadn't both agreed to be such. FC are financially sound, you won one derby game with a last second try, don't crow too much, you may end up embarrassed in a few games time.
