I think with regards to Hull FC and their fans, we as Rovers fans admit that you were the better side, on balance deserved the win and that on current form (and that of those around you) it is highly likely that you may well be enjoying trips to Manchester and London this year. For me, for the remainder of this season at least, you are not our problem any more, and we now need you to keep winning against anybody not in the immediate group around you. We now have our own dog fight to contend with, so if you would like to take your 'my dads bigger than your dad' rubbish elsewhere it would be greatly appreciated.

He's a beast, he'll probably wake up this morning and realise he's got a broken ankle, I was really surprised when he played on after his ankle bent like that, didn't even have a limp. Imagine a footballer doing that, he'd be on gas and air for 6 months

Blair best second rower ? if you think that he was better than Ellis or Minichello then you must have watched a different game.Rovers played to plan and that was to slow the game down and disrupt any flow ,get into the fc players faces and niggle ,to be honest it worked for most the game.It made for a poor game to be honest but as i say needs must and it almost come off

Are you throwing the towel in for the KC derby in July then?

I really don't care how FC do this season although they look very powerful at the moment without any injuries to speak of. I simply am looking at how competitve we were against them and hoping we might still get 2 important points in the 3rd derby.

Lunt will get a 3 match ban IMHO. But, if Wakey can beat Catalans we *may* have a chance although doubtful. Just need to get Mantree back along with a bit more regular back line.

We'll beat all your rivals as long as you can turn over a couple of ours. Next week in France would be a nice place to start.

As for this game, I thought Rovers did a good job of containing the Hull pack, but arrogance or no arrogance, Hull are man for man far bigger and stronger, and I thought the extra effort took its toll on your boys in the end.

On the subject of Ellis, we went through a spell where you were really taking the game to us and we were starting to lose our discipline and focus. Ellis coming back on seemed to coincide with us calming down and getting back to our game. This might have just been coincidental, but I don't think it was. His reintroduction along with Tuimavaves probably win us the game.

Hull kingston rovers.

Re: Magic Weekend : Mon May 23, 2016 7:06 am
A decent performance in defeat,we have improved markedly under webster (oldham and cats apart). Plenty of effort and passion from us and if we can keep getting bodies back and keeping them fit we should be fine in the middle 8s.I feel huddersfield will get out of the middle 8 and the bottom 4 will be us widnes, salford and leeds.I notice josh drinkwater who we were interested in last season and had 2 seasons at the london bronco's,has signed till the end of the season at leigh. We should be taking note.
As for hull IMO they are currently the best team in the league, their forward pack is the best in the league, also they have been very fortunate injury wise, and if it continues will win the league leaders shield.

Re: Magic Weekend : Mon May 23, 2016 7:23 am
Thought it was a good perform from Rovers. You showed a lot of character to come back and then go in front. At that time you were looking sharp and dangerous with ball in hand. Some errors after this allowed us to have some ball and field position which was a critical turning point. That gave a shift in momentum and after a score from us it just looked like you had a bit less left in the tank.
Agree also that Ellis presence on the pitch was significant, all our best phases were when Gaz was on. I think the key for you is to play to that level for 80 mins. Do that and your more than capable of doing what Wakefield have done. Just a bit of belief and you'll start knocking teams off I think.

I was looking at TC yesterday and I thought if he had been fit from the begin of the season we would not have been in this mess and all the other players had been fit has well I reckon we might have been were wakie are now

The best team won, no surprises there. Both teams probably not at there best either. Hull were just to big and strong and when they get a roll on there very hard to stop, as we've found out twice this season now. Matty Marsh did ok, needs to build his confidence though IMO. Good to see Campese do the full game too.

Fair summary.
