And Sandercock has already spoken about how slow he feels the PTB is in England

FC's errors and penalties were forced by Rovers dominance in the middle - Paea, Clinton & Mika were devastating.

O'Hara and Watts didn't play, Galea went off injured and obviously Green wasn't playing yet whoever went out there just seemed capable to plug the gaps and get the job done without any fuss - and this is a trait of top teams so I hope it continues throughout the season.

When FC closed the gap a little, Scotty was itching to get back on and made a difference, he has his critics but played well today.

The FC thread for today is worth a read, it's all doom and gloom already.

Sorry, I wasn't gloating, it was pre season friendly and while I agree, a defeat by your neighbours is never good, it is way to early to start all the doom and gloom. Both sides need to let the new players gel for five or six meaningful games before baying blood. Lets have confidence in our new coaches. Here's to two strong, winning Hull clubs.

Forwards look a different proposition to the last couple of seasons. Paea’s a beast, he should still be in the NRL. Clinton looks interested for the first time. We even have some marker defence…& offloads

What impressed most was the fluency. Losing Green & Galea would have been a disaster before, but we kept our shape & it wasn’t all about Dobson. Hall looks a real threat in midfield & his kicking game was a bonus. Never thought I’d see Lovegrove back on the wing though

Pretty encouraging overall, always nice to quieten the noisy neighbours for a bit too :D
