Wire fan here. Well done, brilliant performance from your lot and a well deserved win. Your coach is still a genius clearly, our “coach” is an assistant at best and couldn’t motivate a fart.
We need to approach this game with the same mentality as last week, defend hard, stay with them and then let the pressure grow on them, we're under no pressure at all again.
'Thus I am tormented by my curiosity and humbled by my ignorance.' from History of an Old Bramin, The New York Mirror (A Weekly Journal Devoted to Literature and the Fine Arts), February 16th 1833.
Can`t see why Rovers can`t beat Catalan. Speaking as a Hull supporter, I obviously thought (hoped) you would lose to the Wire, I have to admit Rovers are up for it as a team, and good to watch. Rovers win by 6. (Choke.)
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.
After just watching the Wire game back we had the intensity and desire, we went for the ball on the ground like Jack Russels if it was loose, we defended for each other with vim and vigour, Crooks was so committed. If Maher, King and Storton can turn up like that again, we have a chance.
Good luck against Catalans, if you can win 19-0 at BIG spending Warrington, then you definitely have a chance of beating this lot. Looking forward to this game, even got a couple of cans of cider in the fridge to add to the experience.
