Watched the highlights and it felt to me that the answers were a bit more direct than normal, and there was real desire to help fans understand. Fairly terse, straight answers to questions that have been asked repeatedly in the past should mean they don't have to be so much in the future.JP made it as clear as he could that just because two clubs are spending to the cap, doesn't mean they are spending the same. Add in the geographical disincentive and our current position in the SL pecking order, and our squad-cap situation makes more sense.
Although memories of Willie Mason will no doubt be stirred, using a marquee signing as a catalyst is logical enough - if, as NH said, it is the right person. You need the incremental gains, but also sometimes a statement of intent.
