Haha I'm afriad your very wrong there, probably old enough to be your grandad and been a pass holder for many a year. I post on here in the hope of a sensible discussion but seems to be a closed shop, same faces posting the same sh*te and when someone new comes along it rattles your cage? I'm not fishing as I could not give 2 sh*ts what you think I'm posting my opinion on a supposed fan forum, probs why there's not that many members that post on here l.

You say you come on for sensible discussion then start a ridiculous thread you've been a supporter for decades and is this the worst pre season ever did you sleep through the 90s

fair enough - FWIW I thought he was a great signing, and as I have said to my mates, Rovers overseas imports have often been better than Fc's (the gambles). We have stepped up mind you in the last 2 or 3 years

As an outsider looking in, I always find it amusing when the fans who have been around a long time and witnessed the uncertainty of even having a team to support, bring the 'new' SL fans in line with reality

It was hideous to watch all year, like seeing someone you care about sleepwalk onto a busy motorway. The focus was wrong in almost every way.

The good thing with Sheens is that any stupid ideas he might have had about how to run a team, he'll have got out of his system long ago. And he carries enough authority to point out flaws in others' suggestions. People tend to be down on 'negativity', but somebody saying 'maybe we shouldn't do that because...' can be invaluable. He's coached teams to success but also knows what it's like when a team is struggling and those lessons might prove vital.

This year, it feels like we know where we and what we have to do. Being capable of it is another thing and we might struggle, but I'm pretty certain it won't result from the calamitous misjudgements of our annus cackmallamiserablis.

Looking forward to kick-off now. Including watching the rest of SL, having saved myself the subscription last year. Overall this preseason seems to have been okay. Probably one top forward signing away from being good. Bit worried about how many of our better players have missed a lot of it with rehab, but overall pretty steady.
