Carney was training with North Queensland and would of signed for them but nrl would not accept him so they must off seen something worth a try

In the unlikely event that he could reach his form of old he us top drawer.

In the likely event that he sporadically shows moments of genius, he is providing those moments for us in the middle 8s rather than Toronto, Widnes, Salford or leigh.

Leigh will probably scrape into the 4 with the way the fixtures are on Carney it’s a no brainier really we can’t take the risk of going into the 8s without back up for McGuire

Come of it, he has never been the best halfback or fullback on the planet, even at the top of his game there was always 1 or 2 in front of him...

Good signing for you guys coming into the business end of the season, if nothing else at worst he provides good cover should DM pick up an injury.
