Friday the 13th. In Italy, it is Friday the 17th that is viewed as unluckly. One possible explanation is that in Roman numerals 17 is XVII, which is an anagram of VIXI, 'to have lived', and by implication 'to have died'.

Took my lovely mum out for lunch to Harvey Nichols in Leeds today. I'm so rich and posh, it's hardly fair. I think I'll browse the internet for a bit for hyperbaric chambers.

I had smoked mackerel and Swaledale on multi seed. Cheeky trip to Jo Malone and some pink Marc de Champagne truffles from Charbonnel et Walker. Parked at The Light - £8.30! Having oven chips tonight.
