tickle signing looks like a real shocker and nullifies vaivais capture a little, he looks a decent capture and what we needed, sign of the times , leeds, wigan, saints seem to bring through super league quality youngsters through and should prosper most in the coming years. as the overseas market dries up over here .rather have taken a punt on a youngster from the lower leagues , easier said than done though
If we do the business on the pitch then Alls well and good.is VaiVai an upgrade on JBF? Puzzling signings even now after initial shock has settled. It's beer o'clock and time to go see what happens tonight. Definitely a Bovril called for
'Thus I am tormented by my curiosity and humbled by my ignorance.' from History of an Old Bramin, The New York Mirror (A Weekly Journal Devoted to Literature and the Fine Arts), February 16th 1833.
You have to wonder to be fair. Both have struggled with knee injuries. JBF's a little youger and has a Visa. He also had a few brain explosions in the Championship, of course. Vaivai has played NRL but not since 2011, has a conviction for assaulting a girlfriend and expects his visa to arrive 'within the next few weeks'.
Still, he's Rovers now (pending visa), so fingers crossed he can play a bit.
Just looked at the HDM article and the VaiVai signing also looks a strange one? 3 major injuries and fitness not guaranteed? Oh well just hope he stays fit and we avoid Rock bottom
Only a one year deal. If it doesn’t work out you can always give him the peoples elbow

no teams will get many nrl players due to the salary cap now. in fact our best players may go to nrl . time for all clubs to bring on there own young players
Bit of depth and a bench option? He's not a bad size for a backrower and kicks goals.
When I thought it was Hull fans trolling, I did almost reply that it wouldn't be that bad a signing. However, the fact that I thought it was Hull fans trolling tells its own story, of course.
Well we needed to add quality and size/power and, frankly, we haven't. We did need to cut away some deadwood after 2016, but with the way the market has gone it feels a bit like we've lost at musical chairs. I'm a bit worried that 'they're a big strong team' might become for Sheens what 'team full of internationals' was for Sandercock.
But they'll get my full support and hopefully Carney, Lunt, McGuire and Masoe stay fit for most of the season and we can scrap our way to a few wins. Come round 10 or 12 though, we need to take stock and if we're struggling start planning for the middle 8s. No talk of 'looking up, not down' and sticking our heads in the sand.
