I think you're all being a bit deluded here. I'd doubt very much that there will be any player loyalty and anyone who can get a SL contract for next year will be off. agents will be sniffing out another payday. Walker already agreed a contract with hudds and greenwood off to join his brother if rumours are to be believed

Rumours don't pay mortgages, contracts do however. Rovers best hope that most clubs have already spent most of their budget already otherwise our few decent players will be picked over.

We need to prioritise our spend on the youngsters.

Don't quite agree. That was Sandercock's remit. That marked the start of our decline. Give some youngsters a chance, but if we're serious about promotion. We need some serious players.

If it was me I would stay, they helped make the drop happen I'd want to play the part in putting you back up, loyalty should be involved they was paid good wages this season & played rubbish, you was loyal paying to watch them, loyallty lies off field why not on it.

Ive said this myself. And Hudge quoted the same. The players who are asked to stay, have a moral obligation to repair the damage they have brought to the club. After all, they won't be on peanuts.

Rough with the smooth, they owe the club that has given them the chance to do the job they love, I would want the challenge, & work with sheens who has a cracking pedigree.

Maybe. But it will be interesting to see who was loyal to the cause, and who was there not only to play for a good club with good fans, but only for the number on his p60.
Depends on moral fibre. I was brought up with this and I'm proud to have it. The one's that don't have it, then I won't be sad for them to leave.
I'm hoping the majority stay.

This just won't happen, and realistically, why should it?

Players play where they get paid the best money and in the best team they can get.

In pro sport, you can't afford to have moral fibre, you've got bills to pay, kids to feed and a career to protect.

How will you tell who is there out of loyalty or who is there for their P60. Some of those staying may still be doing so because of what's on offer. Cockayne won't get a gig elsewhere- but could still be loyal regardless- equally he could stay because he's not earning enough from his pyramid schemes.
