Hodgson got an interception which turned it for us. I think them keeping the scoreboard ticking always kept them in it and nearly won it for them.
Other than Quinlan we were awful with the ball, particularly our 7 who disappeared. They defended the ruck well...fair. or foul.
We didn't create any repeat sets. They had 3-4 where they trapped us in goal.
Some terrible performances. Ellis 3 plus major errors then disappeared. The bigot..into touch, knock on from the kick off. Liability under the kick to the corner. At 22-18 he elbowed a player on the floor 4 tackles gone 30 meters out. It was game over if the ref saw it...dumb.
Docker Clay looked shattered end of the first half but doggedly kept defending.
We did defend well yesterday especially given the possession they had. They made very few mistakes.
When Oakes came on why the hell did Quinlan go on the wing and the bigot to full back. Quinlan is no winger and our best passer...

They kicked 8 points from pens. They would have needed to turn 3 of those 4 opportunities into (converted) tries to win the game. I'm not convinced.

Or maybe they wouldn't it did seem strange that they chose to kick when they seemed to have momentum and then go for it when they could have taken the lead our goal line defence was pretty good I thought

Great game, great atmosphere - think it couldve gone either way till Blairs try at the end

Dont know if that was the biggest away following this season to your ground? It looked like we had brought a few

Thought we were unlucky not to get something from the game - we got too excited when we took the lead shouldve been more sensible instead of making a silly offload

Some will argue we shouldve beaten you in the 8s last season and maybe shouldve yesterday, maybe revenge will come in the reverse fixture? Look forward to you all coming over in what is probably another close run game which will go down to the wire

Bradford apart it was the biggest away following and the loudest

Earlier this year we (Fev) lost to Rochdale by a point at home in a mudbath having turned down four or five kickable penalties in the first 20 minutes. Since then, for better or worse, we have gone for 2 nearly every occasion when there has been a reasonable opportunity to do so.

That's why I can't understand why you didn't take the two to take the lead when you had the chance

I would hope we have a near full strength side and that they perform somewhere near their potential in the return fixture. 'Twas a dire performance to watch yesterday.

If it's a penalty in front of the sticks and as good a guaranteed 2 points Wayne Bennet's teams always go for goal. You don't score every time you are within 30 of the opponents line why turn down a certain 2 points. It keeps you in the game and the opponents under pressure.

The 19 for Monday looks a risk but might still do the job. This must be Sheens squad rotation in preparation for next Saturday.
