The boulevard was a palace compared to the old CP which even had an old railway box cart in it if my memory serves me correctly. Used to be a great atmosphere in there though as it was very compact and enclosed and I well remember the day casey threw away his international captaincy there. I was also there for the final game (widnes?) and the first game at the new ground (trafford borough?).
I even pulled my boots on and played at the old place
You must be saying that tongue in cheek, otherwise you have to be having a laugh. I went to the Boulevard many times and not always when Rovers were there. I had an old mate who had the Bass house pub in town and he was as black and white as they came, but now and again if one or the others team wasn't playing, we would go and watch each other's side play, me watch Hull and vice a versa. Now as i remember, before the new threepenny stand was built which incidentally was no where near as good for atmosphere as the old one, you could go down the back of the stand and get a golden shower for free, it was a case of dodge the shower if you get my meaning, how that old stand didn't fall down as a result of damp rot i will never know. If it had been on the go today it would be shut down by the health and environment agency. Craven park i will grant you was not exactly a showpiece but the west stand was pretty good for viewing the game due to its elevated seating, unlike the Boulevard seating area which was almost at ground level. The east stand at Craven park was as you say, very compact which made for a brilliant atmosphere, plus it was close to the pitch which made it very intimidating for away teams. At the top of the stand there was an old train carriage which was used to serve hot drinks and sausage rolls, hot dogs etc, great for a cold day which of course was often the case those days as it was played mostly during the winter months. I was also there for that final game against widnes which was televised on the old scrumdown series on itv, it was a sad day but nothing lasts forever. A bit like our super league status at present along our favourite song about your lot, but never mind i'm sure it wont be long before we are be back up there and singing a new sarcastic song about your shortcomings.
This just won't happen, and realistically, why should it?
Players play where they get paid the best money and in the best team they can get.
In pro sport, you can't afford to have moral fibre, you've got bills to pay, kids to feed and a career to protect.
I don't disagree. It's just how I look at it. They won't be on peanuts if they stayed. I'd imagine if we got towards 3/4s of our cap this year, we could probably afford the players we want with sick note and tubby Buffon to$$er off our wage bill.

1 Shaw – FB/W 2 Dixon – FB/W 3 Minns - C 4 Salter - C 5 Mantelato – C/W 6 Blair – SO/SR 7 Marsh – SO/SH 8 Walker - P 9 Lunt - H 10 Scruton (Wakey) - P 11 Baldwinson (Leeds) – P/SR 12 Greenwood – P/SR 13 Donaldson – SR/LF 14 Addy (Bradford) – SO/SH/LF 15 Lawler – SR/LF 16 Horn - SR 17 W Jubb - H 18 Mulhearn - P 19 Oakes - W 20 Wardel – W/C/SR 21 Clark (Bradford) - P 22 Moran - SR 23 Cator - SR 24 Harris (City of Hull Academy) – SO/SH 25 Butler (City of Hull Academy) – P/SR 26 T Jubbs (City of Hull Academy) - H
With the players leaving the club, I'd hope to think we can offer similar deals to Lunt, Blair, Mantelato, Greenwood, and Minns but maybe with a one year deal, allowing them to leave should we not gain promotion at the first attempt. With bringing in some Championship experience in Scruton, Addy and Clark all who have played at Bradford in the league and maybe JP can tap Leeds up to get hold of Baldwinson who has spent the past two season on loan at Featherstone and been in the leagues young player of the year awards shortlist winning it in 2015, I'd be really confident that with a young side with experience in key areas and a quality coach of making an immediate return. Also to bring on Harris who has been amazing for the academy this year along with Butler and both Jubbs we will really have a homegrown feel to the squad, determined to get us back to where we belong.

Yes to all these, except Dixon, Salter and Horne. No defence, no attack, no pace respectively. For me, Graeme Horne was at fault for the last second equalising try at the weekend. As a makeshift centre, he is complete pants in that position and always has been.
Cockayne will stay and play for next to nowt. Hope Thornley and Tilse stay as well. I expect Sheens will add 3 Aussie emerging stars, which is code for fringe NRL players. 2 need to be big forward biffers, the other a talented halfback.

I'd be very surprised if you kept some of those players but if you did you'd certainly win the Championship with ease. However, the majority of that squad is responsible for your relegation and I would back any Super League team to beat it in the MPG. Super League teams will be well advanced with recruitment and retention for next season but Rovers have only just started. As a Hull fan I may be in the minority but I'd like Rovers back in SL (getting hammered every week of course) but they face a massive struggle to get back in unless a team implodes like Bradford did a few years ago.

Nick Scruton hasn't played in the Championship he left Bradford in 2014 before we got relegated.
I can't see Addy or Clark coming. They've been commited to the Bulls for some time. If they DO come, it signifies that their isn't a lot of faith in Bulls getting promoted next year or there are still a lot of financial issues there.

Addy might now stay at Bulls, Clark has only had one season at Odsal. I reckon he is more likely to leave.

We're on limited funds, that is for sure. It might be that Bradford have already assembled next year's squad based on the assumption that both were leaving. It's very late in the day to start shoehorning people into a squad and managing cashflow, which is one of the many flaws in deciding what league you'll be playing in so late in the day.
fwiw I still think both will leave. Clark to you lot, Addy to Wakey.
