Weather and sin bin helped Salford in 2nd half.

Not bad considering they're sat in 3rd place in SL. We'll get them next year....

Have you still got that chip on your shoulder? Remember your bitter rants on our board from the end of last season so guess you're still clinging onto it. Assuming you're a guy, you need to get it on with Jools from Hudds, you make a right pair!

As for the game, was really impressed with Rovers tonight and kn that showing can see you in the MPG and having a 50/50 crack at going up. Complete game of 2 halves with KR more than good value for the lead at HT. Excellent kicking game and intensity in defence and you looked a threat with ball in hand as well.

We obviously got the half time rocket and came out fired up and overran you first 20 in the 2nd half. It was only then that the rain came down and both teams started to make mistakes making it a nervy last 20. Despite the MPG nonsense and some of the mud slinging, I'd like to see KR back in SL next year and on tonight's showing you've got a really good chance.

All the best for the rest of the season.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Frederick Douglas

I'd love to win this competition, but this year I'm glad to be out.

We don't need this distraction.

This year is all and only about getting out of this godforsaken league.

Hull Kingston Rovers are a premium team and should be playing in the premier division..

Well played HKR, had a good go, but was reminded that a SL team has an extra gear when needed.

As both teams are working on the same cap, confirms that the correct team won the MPG .

Despite a ref who awarded 2 dubious tries to HKR, Salford started to play in the second half and show the difference between SL and championship.

The 3000 travelling HKR fans. Which meant the East stand was opened just for them, turned out to be mythical and was hundreds not thousands. On TV the empty east stand was opened for the massive HKR support! (I assume Neil Hug will shortly release a statement, accepting responsibility for the massively inflated HKR fan numbers and accepting the cost of opening an extra stand?)

Anyway. Good luck in the middle rights and I suppose the lesson is you need to be able to play for the full 80 mins, and Sheens isn't all that after all.

I thought you gave it a decent shot for forty minutes and we didn't turn up, but the pace and power our pack played with in the second caused you too many problems. Mistakes crept in and along with the awful conditions didn't help you much. I think what you can take out of the game though is the ramp-up in intensity that your guys are not used to every week this season. it will stand you in good stead when you get into the real battles in the second half of the season. This may look like a similar Salford to you on paper from last year but it really is a different Salford this season in attitude, ability, and fitness.

Good luck for the rest of the campaign.

We struggled for the first 20 of the 2nd half. Then during the sin bin we got back into it. After that Charles Hawtry decided to kill us. 7-2 penalty count , 2nd half.
You were poor 1st half because we outplayed you.
Good luck to yourself. However your f#ckwitted owner is a difficult man to like.

The fisherman.....fishing from a boat were 3000 for a home gate is an achievement for them and a f#ckwits money keeps them in existence.
Enjoy it. When he's gone......

What a post. Worthy of scrote of the year.this game confirmed nothing in regards to last year,KR lost a tight game away to a team in form.if I was a Salford fan I wouldn't besmirch an away supports numbers or for that matter a home attendance.I remember walking away from a magic weekend just after koukrash bought Salford and a reds fan was gobbing off about how they would win the league and buy success.credit to him for sticking around but he's flogging a dead horse when a winning team can't attract any new support and frankly you crowing about just scraping home against us is testament to the type of guy you are.the correct attitude would have been you played well, tough game, best team won on night, was a decent turnout on a Friday night in a competition that doesn't attract big attendances. You instead write a load of bilge.be off with you and go catch anthrax
