Scoreline flattered us. Although there can't be many sides in super league who've scored a try with just players on the field ? Felt at 20 -12 after 50 minutes the game was in the balance. Think you missed garbutt massively tonight. Still think you have a good side and will surprise a few this year.

For all this talk about Tim Sheens, I have to agree with him about the bottle throwing rovers supporter. This particular rovers fan is an idiot and needs banning for life. No place for that in our family sport.

Well done to the Rovers and Cas fans who apparently identified the culprit.

I’ve seen a few comments from Rovers fans, saying that drunken idiocy puts them off attending away games.

I agree with what you say but the big problem is doing something about it how do you stop it because it’s always been a big problem but something has to be done

Yeah, it is always easier to identify a problem, than to solve it.

If the club know who it is, then I think a ban is in order - although how easy it'd be to enforce is another matter.

Some condemnatory words from the chairman or CEO might influence some. However, there are people it is difficult to reach. If you're the sort of person who'd chuck a bottle at Rob Mulhern or any other player, there's a good chance you're the sort a person who doesn't give a stuff, i reckon.

Much as I'll never be a Rovers fan I do have some sympathy for the real fans who have to put up with these loonies giving the club a bad name.

I don’t blame rovers or rovers fans one bit. I think it’s just a reflection on how cr@p the British yob culture has become. It’s now ingrained into our society and the only thing any club can do is try to discourage them types from following your team.

Ban one idiot and next week another 10 idiots can turn up and do the same. Sorry state of affairs for the rest of us civilized people I’m afraid.

Robbie Mulhern was extremely angry understandably and invited the bottle thrower to come down and discuss the matter. The yob didn't take up the offer.
