Whatever! We all saw how loyal your fans are last week. Your further posts about your fans being loyal hold no weight at all.

So you insist that Rovers fans are more loyal despite their numbers falling for a second year in a row despite (in Rovers Trace's definition) a successful season?

Meanwhile Hull's crowds are up again despite another season of relative disappointment (no cup run, mid table and no play off win) as are our season ticket sales (record), replica shirt sales (record) and general merchandise sales (+£1m again).

Ever thought of going into politics?

As a Wigan fan I'd say Rovers following last night was third best away crowd of the season after Wire and Saints.
Both Hull clubs bring the largest following to Wigan after those two rivals who are only 10 miles or so down the road.
Considering the distance travelled a very good following indeed and everyone I spoke to after the match commented on the excellent HKR crowd.

You had a much better season then last year so your crowds should have gone up. Rovers season for me ended successful simply because we won a playoff game. By this point we couldn't increase our home support could we. All i can say is I witnessed how loyal your fans are last Saturday with my own eyes.

I'll admit I'm a little dissapointed with our average attendance but thats not to say it has anything to do with the Home support. We've had alot less away fans visit Craven Park. Below shows how easily your average attendance can change after only a couple of games.

Huddersfield @ Home 2009 = 8731
Huddersfield @ Home 2010 = 7575

This Shudds match alone took 100 off this seasons average attendance.

Catalans @ Home 2009 = 8115
Catalans @ Home 2010 = 7102

Celtic @ Home 2009 = 8046
Celtic @ Home 2010 = 7273

Between those 3 matches was where our average attendance went down on last season. Shows just how easy it can change.

But you finished 4th (sorry, "6th") last season. A good year for you. Surely loyal fans would back the club, not wait to see how this season went?

You insist that people leaving early (or actually after the final hooter) last week defines the Hull FC fans' loyalty yet you fail to acknowledege my other points re: record season pass sales, record shirt sales, record merchandise sales. Does that not define loyalty and supercede final game/end of season disappoinment?

So are you seriously saying that Huddersfield (not "Shudds", please grow up) brought 1156 less fans than last season? No less home fans?

Catalans brought 1000 less supporters? Crusaders brought 773 less supporters?

Face it, your home support fell considerably this season. I admire the Rovers fans who have stuck by them since circa 2003 but to claim you have the most loyal fans is just ludicrous.

Re: lighter thrower : Sat Sep 18, 2010 10:23 pm
the true supporters of your club are a credit to you, but the mindless idiots just embarass themselves,

i am a warriors fan and after the match last night i ended up shaking hands with an older gentleman in a Robins shirt, who said how much he enjoyed the game and good luck in the future.

There is no place for mindless idiots in rugby league.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Frederick Douglas

Some idiot chucked a lighter. This is a very bad thing and is to be condemned. I'm not sure there is a lot more to be said, but the option remains for now, as long as it gets back on topic.
