He'd have to be right (unlikely I know) as we can't afford to go into a game carrying a player only to lose him after 10 minutes and disrupt the team / interchanges and lose the game. If it was a try him and see scenario I'd throw him in against Salford to start with, a game we are unlikely to win, and if it goes pear shaped then the impact is minimal. We cannot take the games against championship teams lightly.

IMO we should be really targeting the Salford game as one where we need to treat it as a must win. Were unlikely to win at Headingley twice in one season so win the games against the championship clubs and Salford away and we should be ok. The result of the Huddersfield home game could be irrelevant by the time it comes around.

Sad as it sounds and ignoring club names, Salford are miles better than us at the moment. The away game there is the toughest game we will have in this comp and I'd be astounded if we get anything there.

A lot depends on where the players heads are with next year and koucash etc. They played well against us but some may be on the way out . Still think you will be OK but could be a bit tighter this year. Fancy Leigh to go up and maybe guess or Salford to go down

I have to agree with you here Barham. Salford are the best team in this 8 and have added another couple of NRL players for the middle 8s campaign. Difficult to beat at their place too. If we manage to scrape a win there, it will be against the decidedly average Salford side minus key players like Robert Lui and Justin Carney that we beat at CP this year, but not the excellent Salford that beat us easily at the Aj Bell with Robert Lui and Dobbo pulling all the strings.

We need to be targeting a win at Headingley against a mediocre Leeds side this year on a ground where we have recorded back to back victories, albeit against different opposition. If we also win against all the Championship sides, we will avoid the need for a must win in a potential nervous decider at home to Huddersfield in the final round.

We can all relax now. Job's sorted.

Salford will be fine they are a top 8 team and tbh a decent one leeds look to have all there troops back and are turning loses into wins even when playing poorly Giants and rovers are the teams the championship clubs will have a real go at I think the giants are too strong and physical for the lower division clubs that leaves rovers with the only real threat been Leigh I would be very surprised if that is not the million pound game, who wins will depend on form and injuries, rovers should have too much but confidence is massive its going to be roller coaster for sure

Fartown are terrible at the moment, as most of their own fans will testify to. I see them as the most vulnerable. However I still expect them to tear Leigh a new one.
