If Taulapapa isn't now joining yourselves, then its no loss. He just isn't up to a standard of rugby any higher than the level of the Championship. He last appeared in the NRL four or five years ago, and was barely even a bit-part player back then. If you were looking to sign anyone from Sheffield, it should have been the other guy, Togagae, who actually looks like he could develop into a top flight player.

Is he still a Rovers player? Seems to suggest not on the other board and he tweeted today that he's been "effed over". In capitals as well...

If you announce McDonnell as seems certain, maybe he'd rather stay in the championship and play every week? I thought I'd read he thought he was a direct replacement for Shaun Briscoe, could be wrong though.
