Josh must be on his way, would Caro be worth a go?

They've released Danny Williams - worth a look for a wing spot? Not seen much of him for a couple of seasons.

He'd still be worth a 1 year deal at Championship level. A couple of injuries over the last couple of years have seen him lose some of his pace, but he's still a hard runner that knows his way to the try line. The only reason I can see that he's not been kept on at Bradford is that there's a few younger guys who can play wing as well as other positions across the backline who are already signed up for next year and beyond.

If we're going to sign a winger I think I'd prefer Lancaster rather than Caro or Williams

If Josh goes and Dixon has gone, who is next in line for goal kicking?

I said before on this thread that The signing of Shaw was imperative. He is an excellent kicker in a position we're short on.
If Mantellato is holding out for a better deal, then I wouldn't blame him, but I'd question his commitment to Rovers.

I'd question a lot, but Mantellato was just about the most committed player we had over the last 2 years.

Commitment is a 2 way street.

I'd be over the moon if he signed, and I'll not disagree about his commitment last year. Even tho he was part of the team that relegated us last year.
But, there is a contract for him to sign, probably not peanuts either. Yet here we are wondering what his descision will be.
Rovers have committed to wanting him, if it's not for him and there's a better offer, it would be nice either way we all know so we can all move on.

Not much recruitment to do. 4 or 5 according to TS. Why do you suggest clearing the decks at this stage after most of our signings have been made?

If you had posted this just after relegation it might have been appropriate.

I meant clearing the decks since the MPG could of been to your advantage it lets the coach sign who he wants and retain who wants I know you lose a few but that's life not every player will want to play in a lower league even for a year but you seem t have done well in keeping the players you wanted in general how big do you think your squad should be at this stage ? and how many have you actually got at present ? interesting that Bradford had 30 not much room to move anyone else in it seems
