There's some things to his credit. When he played, he gave his all. Notably at Wembley, under the most difficult circumstances. He was often our best player. And it's not like he asked to play behind a regularly beaten pack or under an interim coach given no authority.



On the other hand, as Mrs B points out on the Hull forum, he's signed for the city's only SL club, and he made a significant contribution to them achieving that status. So did others, but where I'd question their judgement, I question Kelly's character.

Still don't know the full story over Kelly but it does seem his suspension was the tipping point of our relegation. You suspended him penny pinching as always and it back fired, you thought with campo back you would be safe and it all went up in your face, Peacock wanted rid of Kelly to help with cap space and as normal instead of biting the bullet and moving him out in the right way to another club you tried sacking him to save on his outstanding contract.
