CC has had no help in preparing to be a coach, both of our previous coaches were inexperienced. We should not be looking at getting rid of Chester but getting him some assistance, Kear would be my choice. He is at Batley and doing Wales so could come as a consultant.

Tim Sheens came a did exactly that when Harris was in control. That didn't last long. To do something like that is like a vote of no confidence in the current coach from the board. And it never ends well.

All I am saying is that it is about time the club brought in some experience in the coaching department. When they appointed CC Hudgell said that the opportunity may have come too soon. That appears to be the case.

Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Frederick Douglas

Oh good god, I'd tried to eliminate that from my mind, thanks for reminding me!

Quite.

No matter how bad things got under their regime, relegation wasn't likely.

I really would love to wholeheartedly agree with you, unfortunately I don't share your confidence in our current coaching set up and their ability to overcome their evident shortcomings .
I have a feeling that we will come out strong in the first half and make a real game of it, possibly going in at half time ahead on the scoreboard, but I fear the frailties that were so evident last season and in the two friendly games of late, will come to the fore as the game wears on.
I do hope I'm wrong in my assessment and that my concerns prove to be both premature and unfounded, but like many other Rovers fans it seems, I am not confident about a win at home tomorrow.

I've backed KR first half - Cas full time

If your players aren't fired up for this first game - then youre doomed
