Atkin is very Burrow-like in stature and style, his running game is a fair bit behind Robs but it should suit McGuire

Rovers are believed to be closing in on Leigh trio Glenn Stewart, Atelea Vea & Samisoni langi.

Also believed to be trying to get Docker-Clay to go to York on loan, although London are still interested in him.

2 deemed not good enough for us, one a half back who most were 50/50 and thinking is championship level. This says a lot about the market right now.

As the newly promoted side, I'm not 100% sure who people expected us to sign considering we picked up Masoe and carney in the championship, maybe expectations were overtly high. But the value of signing tommy lee and Jordan walne could prove decent especially joining as squad players if the market in aus provides better options as clearly the market here means one of our best teams picks up these players.

A bit of perspective I think, and probably not an ounce of arrogance some fans of ours showed on social media will be shown down t'mend a hose I imagine.

You ideally want a 6 with a running threat and good long kicking game to suit McGuire

Reports on media and twitter (Moley) linking Rovers with NRL Jason Clark & Sam Tagataese.

Also, French youngster Thibault Franck, scrum half, is believed to have signed.

TIM says he is hopping to bring players back with him when he comes back and has said we have to wait till he has finished talking to them
