ADAM QUINLAN - What Now?? : Mon Mar 20, 2017 5:46 am
With the long term injury to AQ what do we all think should be done now? Would you just reshuffle the team around and use Moss at FB and possibly bring young Oakes into play on the wing?
I wouldn't use Benny at FB for sure and would probably use him every other game and rotate him and the young lad. Thoughts!!!!

Moss should get a chance to show what he brings at fullback, and don't forget Disco Dave can come in on the wing.
Another selection headache is where do we play Addy now he's fit again ?

Those stating Moss should play at FB and wasted on the wing now have a chance to be vindicated. I'm still skeptical but the lad should now be given a chance, let's hope he doesn't waste it.

I would assume it would be Moss FB and Shaw and Cockayne as the 2 wingers.

I've heard mention of Oakes from other fans, but Sheens has yet to bring him into the squad rotation, so at a minimum it puts him behind the 3 above. It may be the case that they try and build Oakes game time up, with him being the next in line if anyone gets injured.

Much will depend on the timescales for Butler-Fleming, because although there was a report in the HDM saying he was out until middle 8s, but I read it more along the lines of he will be ready when he is ready and won't be thrown in before.

Using Moss at full back will make far more sense as this will allow BC to be used off the bench as cover for FB, Wing and Hooker.

Saying that after Cockayne's ridiculous yellow today I'd be giving him an enforced rest for a week or 2, if the coach is quoting your experience being vital then maybe he should use it and not get into a measuring contest with a 5 minute brain dead prop!!!

What causes your scepticism? His performances on the wing have been reasonable considering he was out of position learning new moves in a new team.

Moss will go full back which should make some bulls fans happy, cos they stated he was wasted on the wing. And in hull daily fail it says new forward from aus nearly completed

Mainly his indecisiveness and lack of confidence to back himself. He is the natural replacement for Quinlan though so it's up to him to prove me wrong as now is his chance to prove he's a true FB.

As for keeping Bull's fans happy.....why would we care or want to do that?

I really hope we do sign a forward.... I would like to see hala sign but that's based purely upon his highlight reel which is no coincidence it's only a couple of minutes long....

James Greenwood is using the excuse of a preseason injury for disrupting his preparations and the reason he is slow getting up to speed this season and hitting the same form as last.

Moss joined us very late preseason, 3 days before the Leeds friendly game as I remember. Thrown into an unfamiliar role, I am unsurprised he is taking time to find his feet.

He now has his chance in his preferred and experienced position. Several Bulls fans specifically went on record as saying he and Clark were game-changing SL class players and they were gutted that they left. Addy, Shaw and Kavanagh merely competent and workmanlike at best was their feedback also. They had the luxury of witnessing their collective play for themselves. Opinions I know, but you have to trust their judgement.

Similar opinions dissed Abdull, Ellis and Scruton on here and elsewhere as below par when the reality is they have all matched or exceeded expectations.

As you say, Moss now has his chance at FB and I too hope he takes it and goes on to prove you and other sceptics on here wrong.
