Parking at Halifax : Tue Jul 18, 2017 3:05 pm
This will be your first visit to Halifax in some time.

Parking, from the motorway, unless you are dining, booked a disabled spot or are a director, please drive past the main entrance to the mini roundabout at the bottom of the hill. Take a left into Hunger Hill HX1 2JT.
halfway up the hill we have hired the Halifax Bank's Multi-storey car park, the charge is £5.00. if you want a quick getaway after the game use the west car park just beyond the multi, charge is £5.00
This will probably be the last time we cross swords as you will be flying into the super league, perhaps we'll catch up with you in the future.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Or alternatively as I did when I last visited in 2013 for the World Cup, Italia v. Tonga, just park on the street for nowt.

Most people in Scallifax don't have cars, the occasional horse and cart or traction engine is all you'll encounter.

Bring your felt tip pens, it's still black and white down the Calder Valley.

Is there still a warm welcome in the Three Pigeons? Excellent pre-match watering hole I seem to recall.

Aye, still a decent boozer, Ossett Brewery, my 'Fax connections were telling me of a pub a bit further on, away from the ground that's also good, but I forget the name.

The Shay is a nice little ground, unfortunately both clubs have never had enough money to finish it off. And I'm certain the 'Fax fans would enlighten us to the reasons around that. Like I said not been since 2013 but the bits that were finished back in our NFP days seemed partly not accessible in 2013.

There aren't any people in Halifax, it's ace.

We go mid week t'pictures, because if you go to any fillem that's slightly not Block Buster, no one else goes.

My sister was born there, she's married, well, we managed to auction her off.

My God Father was from their, he was very cool.

An amazing engineer in the sixties apparently, smoked way too many fags.

Uncle Eric used to do calculation's on the wings of DC10's and was terrified that they couldn't mathematically stay in the air.

More Terrorista family japes to follow.

Let's hope the Wessy police have heard the same rumour and also turn up.
To be fair, they've had nowt t'do since the miners strikes so could do with some overtime.

It's obviously too long since the Robins visited Halifax, the Capital of Yorkshire. I also notice you've not lost your sense of humour. Parking on the streets for free, Hahahahah.
Do you think the football goons will be in or around the Shay when the Robins are in town, not in this lifetime.

If you are booked into the main car park, I'll be the first person you'll be speaking to, so I hope you have a great day.

No chance of bother even though it is an high profile game / like a grand final as you were paid by the rfl to rest half your squad against Toulouse and throw the game against them again
