Right then.Deby next up,hopefully our extra 2 days rest will be a plus whilst they had a hard travel and game? Think it will be rumours galore as to who will make both 17s. Think both teams could be sweating on disciplinary committee citations on Monday? Was very confident pre game last time but less so this time. Generally enjoy the build up to these games but we can't go there with 1 or 2 props and expect to win

All things considered they did very well today. Hopefully they’re knackered after their efforts.

They’re better at winning by just doing the basics well under Radford, whereas Sheens acknowledges we need to play some footy which is even tougher than normal in a derby. And tbf, in recent years they’ve just been better overall most of the time. Fingers crossed though, it’d be nice to get the two points and home advantage hasn’t been that much of an advantage for them recently. That’d make it three derby wins in a row wouldn’t it? Aye, fingers crossed.

Then Easter Monday - it feels like we never win on Easter Monday in SL. It is usually a team that’d normally beat us anyway it seems to me. Can anyone recall the years we did win on the Monday? How many times, if any, have we got 4 SL points on an Easter weekend?

In 2015 Rovers won the derby at Hull on 'Easter' Thursday and then beat Huddersfield at CP on Easter Monday. It is the only time to my recollection that we have had a double Easter success. We have never won Good Friday and Easter Monday.

goodness knows who will start fri for both teams, the young lads did well for us today but that would be hard to back up in a derby, can see shaul, ratu, taylor, westy paea, savelio back for us and be in the 17, we need fresh legs in the forwards after today, derbies are always 50/50, hoping for a good crowd,

Thanks HB.

Only four years ago, but feels longer to me. Lots of water under the bridge since then!

Priced up at Betfreds we receive 6 start on coupon.Think that's a bit skinny with them in such good form and able to rest players etc? Seems a little slow build up compared to the 1st game but will maybe pick up when the 19s are released. Weather looking good for weekend which makes a pleasant change from most Easter games so it will be Allams Ale rather than Bovril

:D That was the tone it was meant. A week of timely boosts and both teams making out they are underdogs.

I will do my best to write how I see it going with what we know now..Disciplinary and both teams seemingly having 2 props each leave many questions.
I like Rovers back row Linnett Joel and Hauraki are as tough as they come. Lunt being fit alongside Garbutt will go someway to laying a platform if they play? For once I aren't overly concerned with Hulls pack and feel that is where we COULD have an advantage? What does worry me is Griffin and Fairamos sheer size in the backs.Throw in Kelly who scared the Cats defence stiff every time he touched the ball and Connor and Snide who generally play well plus maybe Shaul to come back in it looks like FC have more punch in the backs? Savelio Paea Westy Taylor possibly to come back as opposed to our returnees of Oakes Jewitt (Will believe when I see it)Lunt. It does look advantage Hull. My head says Hull win by couple of score. My heart says KR in another bum squeak finish. Our only chance is to lay that platform and dominating Hulls pack thus not letting their backs get space and time and Drink and McGuire pull the strings. Add in Teflon Talanoas farewell,Hulls high morale plus the nature of losing the 1st Derby then it's the perfect storm in Hulls favour. The counter is last few home games Hull have stank and seem to have capitulation in them if gone behind? I've waffled enough and think anything could happen as always come Derby day. But from a betting POV I would be backing Hull unfortunately.
