Deserves its own thread. Absolutely ecstatic and shocked, thank you to the chairman, nobody can question Hudgell’s ambitions for Rovers after the last couple of weeks business.

Brilliant news.

Rovers have most definitely been in talks with Ford & I notice that Smith has only signed for this season....initially.

But surely if things go well and I expect they will Tony Smith will extend his stay.

You've got to be happy with this. I think he was in the frame before Tim Sheens was appointed. A man who can lay down a game plan and get his players to perform.

He is a very good coach but he wont be able to do it on his own, he'll need some financial backing. Do you have that?

Perhaps he'll be able to tell us how Warrington get around the salary cap!
