Really pleased to get Livett on board - a quality young player. Hopefully sign him with chances limited at wire, never know.

A prop, a backrower and a quality utility loaned in gives us a good bit of depth for the next month at least which is good.
Regarding future signings theres not many real quality players available is there, unless you bring in a Marquee signing. So for us it'll probably be like for like as said above but hopefully better coaching than weve had for a few years though.

Livett is a really good bit of business for you. Real tidy player who can cover a number of positions. I'm surprised his game time at Warrington has been so limited.

I agree, very good signing, if Warrington are looking at releasing/selling him, I'd have him at Hull, good player, with lots of potential.

Warrington must be in very healthy state to be loaning out him and the other young lad.

I think Dean Hadley could do really well with you. Was really well liked at Trinity, won player of the year and was a pack leader.

He showed real potential with us before he went to Belle Vue and I was disappointed when he went there on loan. I thought we would be getting a much better player back than the one that left us but it just hasn’t worked out for Dean.
I just think he plays in the shadow of some of our pack. But if he could start to believe in himself and get his confidence back he could go great for you. There’s a very good Super League player and leader in there somewhere.
If he does what he did at Trinity, you’ll be more than happy.

I think over the years I and maybe others of us have gone from assuming the best in the face of trolling (‘if he was any good, why is he signing for Rovers?’) to assuming the worst even for players getting a decent reference.

I hope we stay up this year and he goes well. However, my base case is hoping we stay up in 2020 while watching lads like Hadley get trampled on by a bunch of massive Polynesians in derbies. :(

Looking at the remaining fixtures I think you’ll be ok. For me it looks like the trap door is waiting for the loser of the last game of the season between Trinity v Broncos.
Can’t see where a wins coming from for either of those apart from a narrow win for either of them in this final fixture.
