Re: Wakefield match. : Sun Aug 18, 2019 6:13 pm
We are in this situation because of a few easy observations...1)..The team lacks mental strength and makes too many wrong decisions..example..2 points on offer in front of the sticks in a must win game, take them, get the ball back... they dont, and mess it up, a few minutes later 14 points down..2) defence is garbage..3) have defended Drinkwater, but apart from the odd kick offers next to nothing in attack..4) Tomkins is NOT a leader..5) without Quinlan at full back, we really lack cutting edge, and it looks like he,s crocked..possibly Garbutt and Crooks too..6)Even if we manage a win, it,s usually close, but when we lose, we suffer too many heavy defeats..7) set completion is usually poor.
We can still survive...simple win the last 3(very unlikely)...win 2 we might(anyone think we will win at Catalan or Salford? think Salford will rip us apart, hope I,m wrong)..win 1 we still might, providing that win is against London, but I think London will win at least one more and if that,s against us I think we are toast.
Been supporting the team for over 50 years, and will remember this one as one of the worst..there seemed no heart in them and without that you have no chance.
They let us all down big time today and it hurts...Confidence seems to have gone in this team, and it will take a lot to repair.
Why do they do it to us? think I know why..they are not good enough...rant over.

Could go down to last game and London play a probably safe Wakey. We travel to Salford who could need the 2 points. Must beat London whatever happens and Catalan need to play like they have last few week. I suspect they will be different proposition in fortnight. What a limp wet lettuce performance today. Not been as invested in the battle recently as my father passed away and other things have took priority. It's only a game yes but that was beyond poor today

Very sorry about the loss of your dad.

.Thanks. Still can't quite believe it Couldnt speak about it for bit but finding it helps talking to people now and laughing a little about the better times. As for KR he would have been right vexed off with today's feeble effort.

Both Hull teams lose a lot of revenue if we are not in the same league, that alone I really hope you stay up.

It looked like we were literally throwing the game and season away in the last 15 minutes. Hall was shocking today. Dropped too many balls in the first half and the short kick offs simply gifted Wakey 2 easy tries.

The penalty for the crossing with Mags early in the second half clearly wasn't but we threw it away without any help from anyone else.

Quinlan injury is expensive. Lets just hope Parcell is back for the Cats game.

London have been helped by Saints fielding a weakend side twice and an inept Catalans twice. Plus we are still struggling against the list of losses that Sheens left us with.

Tbf, a newly promoted team needs a bit of luck to have a chance. London have done a good job of taking advantage of the opportunities that have presented themselves and deserve credit.

We’ve had too many inept performances of our own, including against London, to feel hard done to, imo.

It’s a shame, because I feel like we’ve made some sensible choices over the course of the last year. We just don’t have much margin for error or misfortune with the level we’re at.
