So were still looking for an HB. Like it or not I think we will have to look over sea's. So then who do we let go? For me it would unfortunately have to be Quinlan. Like it or not this would be my choice. Why? Hall, Dagger and Ryan can play there, with Hall been my 1st choice so we have a few options. Fans (myself included) wanting a decent half so we may have to make some hard choice's. The only English 7 is Myler and like him or not (majority say not) who do we sign.

I think we need a running half. If we don,t get a new one and have to "manufacture" one, Quinlan could be an option.Quick, elusive, the type that opposition teams hate, might weaken defence, but that,s up to the coach. Definitely would not lose Quinlan. We were much more of a threat with him in the team.

True and he is the right size for a scrum half stand of so why not

Very difficult one.

I do like Quinlan at lot though, so i’d be looking at other options to solve it.

It’ll be interesting to see how Smith plays it.

I have heard you have been linked with one of our outgoing halves.

If so, and if it comes off, I think you will have a good one.

Personally, sorry to see him go, but I dont think he has been given a fair crack, as our current first choice halves, have under performed all year, but under Chessie seem undroppable

If you're talking about Hampshire, how wasn't he given a fair crack? He played every game & at the end of the season he was offered a new contract, but he didn't except and it all ended up exactly like last year, with him wanting more money. I'm not sure how much more of a crack he could have got, except give him what he wanted contract wise.
Ateotd he was our first choice fullback, plus miller and Brough were both injured for about 6 weeks at the same time last season when they were playing well, so it's not like he didn't get a chance there.

I meant more in the halves shifty.

He came last year and was patient and took over from Finny and was a revelation there.

Again this year, different half back, in Broughie, came in did a good job, probably the best half weve had this year, Broughie comes back, and hes ahunted out again, to find himself on the wing.

No, I dont think hes had a fair crack in the halves to be honest

If it wasnt for sheens we wouldn't have got rid of atkins, better than all 3 of them.
