Re: Sephton Trophy 2013 Armed Forces Day : Thu Jun 06, 2013 5:19 am
Good Morning, I trust that you and yours are all well.

By way of introduction my name is Lyne Walker. I write with regards to the 4th Annual Tom Sephton Memorial Trophy, held at Crosfields ARLFC on Armed Forces Day – Saturday 29th June, where I am one of the volunteer organisers.

Since 2010 the Tom Sephton Memorial Trophy, along with the help and support of people such as yourself, have raised thousands of pounds on behalf of Armed Forces charities with over £5000 in 2012 alone! Their work in offering support and assistance for our serving Armed Forces Servicemen and women, their families and Veterans continues. We owe them and people like you who have supported them a debt of gratitude for all that they do.

The 2012 event was fantastic … despite some atrocious weather! 2013 promises to be even bigger and better! Besides the two top class games of rugby league there will be military stands, stalls and displays , activities including a 60foot long inflatable assault course, climbing walls a paintball range. Numerous forces charity stands and stalls, Rugby League stands and stalls including Warrington Wolves with the Rugby League Challenge Cup, their Try-Time inflatable and even special appearances from players and their mascot ‘Wolfie’!

The occasion is always to be a Military Charity Fundraiser and this years chosen charity is The Royal British Legion. We particularly want to raise awareness of the support and assistance that they have enthusiastically given to servicemen and women and their families who have been involved in more recent conflicts.

Our charity fundraising revolves around the BIG TOM’BOLA RAFFLE, Our regular tombola, sponsorship and donations, we have some AMAZING PRIZES!

If you think that you can help with a donation of anything at all, or if you think that you might be interested in sponsorship of various parts of the event then please contact us;

Tom Sephton Memorial Trophy (There are over 1000 photographs of the 2010, 2011 & 2012 events)

The Tom Sephton Memorial Trophy is without doubt the biggest amateur rugby league occasion in Warrington and the surrounding area … probably the North West! (Over 3000 people attended in 2012 despite the atrocious weather!). It is, and will always remain, FREE TO ENTER. With regard to the Match Day Programme we would like to offer you the opportunity to show your support by placing an advert in the programme.

The 2013 programme is currently being put together and will be even more impressive than last year. 60 A4 full colour glossy pages professionally designed and produced. Last years programme proved more popular than anyone could have imagined selling out within the first two hours of the event! (We even saw on change hands on ebay for nearly £30!) We are looking to more than triple our production this year. I do so hope that you will choose to support us in 2013, it’s a fantastic event held for all the right reasons. To help in your decision her the format of our advertising space for the 2013 programme complete with prices.

If you would like to advertise but don’t have an advert or artwork then don’t worry as we can design and create one for you … completely free of charge! – All we require is a little information.

If you do choose to advertise with us again there are a number of methods of payment that you can choose. Whatever is easiest for you.
