Bad bad defeat for us today (Folly). We were scratching around for a team before kick off and it showed on the field. No one had a clue what they were doing, to be fair god knows why we're in Div 4 playing against well organised teams, when we've struggled in div 6 for the last 6/7 seasons????

50 - 0 it ended up to Pilks!!!

I watched the game of Burtonwood v Folly Lane and to say it was poor from both teams is an understatement, too much dropped ball and missed chances. Very scrappy game to say the least. Credit to you men you stuck at it for the full 80. Quite bizarre your team, giant forwards and the smallest back line I've seen in a long while. I played in the Bridge v Cuthberts game, refs made some very strange calls, as soon as tackle was made, held was called, no dragging of players to side lines. Hard game to play in, the slope will catch a few out against Cuthberts, as well as having very strong wind in your face running up the hill. But good game to play in, Bridge unlucky, few players missing and not a settled team in all friendlies and league matches so far

Yeah we do have the 3 smallest players in league, me being the smallest. Although I was in the pack against you lot, well if you can call a hooker a forward these days

NEW PLAYERS WANTED

Leyland Warriors are looking to recruit more players at Open Age level. As some of our results show from earlier this season, we have some quality lads on board but just need more numbers.

Long story short, due to a combination of several players travelling on gap years, emigrating, working weekends, long term injuries and so on, we are struggling for numbers. Very frustrating, especially given as all of our junior teams are flourishing in the change of season.
