We're not a very strong team at the best of times with a lot of young lads but have only managed to field a full team once (against Queensbury when we lost 28.22).

With regards to the teams we've played they all look fairly close in terms of ability but hudd giants is certainly correct when he says Hunslet Parkside are the dirtiest.

That doesn't surprise me. I remember playing against their U-19s (I think) a few times in the very early 90s. One of my mates reckons Billy Whizz played in one game but I don't recall him.

Anyway, they were dirty fookers back then. Eye-poking, knees, elbows, I think I took 4 or 5 head-butts whilst playing the ball after the tackle. There's no need. RL is tough enough without acting like chavvy hooligans.

No. as far as I'm aware neither are playing anywhere at the moment. Don't think they'll go to Siddal and certainly not to their U18s.

Word is that some of the ex newsome lads have left and gone back to play open age for the Panthers.

If this is true and with academy lads returning to their clubs - think it could be a long hard season ahead for Joe's

He told me on Sunday he was thinking of doing that. He and our former fullback sat with us for an hour or so in the club after the game whilst I tried to persuade them to resign for us. I don't think Sunday's display helped our cause though.

BTW his name is Iain.

No offence to Caliban here, but thats no mean feat.
And you cant say should of 'won' when they lost all 3.
St Joes problem is lack of creative play.

Forgot to mention, that despite us beating Hunslet last week, they have to be one of the best offloading teams iv seen for a long long while

 What you trying to say?

Queensbury away next week in Yorkshire cup. Slight chance of an upset if we can put out a full side. Most of our injured should be back.
