Acorn played at Shaw Cross today and lost 20-10 but they look a decent outfit to be fair.

Lost 42.10 at home to Oulton.

They were the best side we've played this year. Looked better organised than Shaw Cross Or Normanton. Also well disciplined and a clean side.

Acorn beat Elland 28.10. Elland said they played awful but Acorn do't sound bad.

Elland will have to up their game big style on Sunday against Oulton in the Yorkshire Cup.

Thanks for the kind words. We always have been a clean side compared to the majority of the sides we play against. Id say this is the first season i have experienced where it pays to be clean. In the past certain notorious teams have turned up with the intension to illegally bully other teams off the park, which normally works unfortunately.
I really enjoyed playing on Sunday. King Cross played the game hard and fair and were always laughing and joking with us in the scrum. It makes the game alot more enjoyable for both players and spectators. Looking forward to playing you at home!
What were Normy like then? It should be a cracker between us two in the first meeting which could help decide who wins the league at the end of the year!

We only had 13 lads and two were carrying knocks. Normanton had a full 17 and it was a hot day. They are bigger and rougher than you without being unduly dirty.

We were 16.4 up approaching half time but tired later on with our lack of numbers (finished with 10) and eventually lost 22.32.

Would think you'd have the edge and you're both better than Shaw Cross and Elland.

Obviously did do. Hear tell they won 25.18.

We lost 30.28 at Sutton Trust. Only had 12 lads and soon down to 11.

Yeah i think the pitch was a bit of a leveller but on the day Elland were the better team. They kept getting a roll on and we couldn't slow it down whatsosever and gaps were created. Elland deserved the win and it should do us well to lose and keep a lid on our confidence.
