This is a bit harsh really, i think east would have really shocked a few teams in the play offs, i also think east will go on to win the national cup.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

In a good vein of form at the moment with a full squad we could have troubled anybody , if we get the chance that is

As for the cup well the final possibly we might get there , but then the Miners are the best under 18 team outside the SL academies , so

East have 3 games left but now will only get the chance to play one

The other 2 games have been ' decided ' as drawn games , Easts getting 1 point off each

Both games are definately winnable but now it is unlikely they will make the play offs

They have finally managed to get a full squad fit and ready to play and are quite capable of beating anybody on thier day

They have not called any matches off but are now possibly going to suffer bcause of others problems

Thats boll0cks that, its a joke. Sheepshaggers should't be allowed in the league if they cant complete their fixtures. I hope someone at your club causes a stink over it.

Well done Leigh Miners, seems East may not make the playoffs due to not being allowed to complete their fixtures. We are in the Barla National Cup semi this weekend, but for progressing in this comp, we would have nt completed our fixtures. We have been awarded two drawn games= 2 points. We could had 4 and that would have most probably sealed a playoff spot. Now we have to hope for a miracle.
Was told season had to be completed this coming weekend, but East Leeds are down for playingthis coming WED after!!!!!

Also whats more annoying is the fact that we havent cancelled one single league match at home, how is that fair.

LEIGH MINERS U18s 52 v 10 CELTIC CRUSADERS U18s

Leigh Miners booked themselves a National Youth League Grand Final place with a convincing 52-10 victory over second place Celtic Crusaders. Miners started slowly with Celtic taking an early lead through some sloppy miners defending under the sticks to give the visitors a 6-0 advantage. The hosts it back with two good solo trys from centre johnny pownall and full back adam clay to give miners a 10- 6 lead.Miners extended there lead after a Pownall break, Clay scoring is second of the game under the posts to give the score 16-6.Stand off Aaron Reeves scored the final try of the first half, the try converted to give miners a 22-6 half time lead. Reeves scored his second five minutes into the second half, Miners continued to pressure the celtic line with prop Jason Unsworth scoring from 15 out to give miners a 34-6 lead. With miners in command of the game second row Shaun Marsh crashed over, Miners scored again from the next set with Reeves grabbing his hat trick to give the score line 46-6.Celtic scored a consulation try out wide, Miners finished off the scoring with centre Mathew Rozman making a break to find Reeves supporting inside, who went over for his fourth try of the match, Pownall converting to give the final score 52-10 for the miners.

Miners now have a weekend off before the Grand Final on the 26th of this month.

WELL DONE LADS!!!
