that's the way the cookie crumbles i'm afraid - I would loved to have seen a 'big' team visit Lezignan like all the rest of you.

what happened to FCL at the weekend - sounds like a bit of indiscipline in the team at the moment ? what's the problem ?

No they're not. The Leigh game is on the Friday at 8pm, John.

The way things stand at the moment, Leigh could be a bigger threat to you, than you might think. They are currently the only Championship team with a 100% record, in the Challenge Cup; Northern Rail Cup; and Championship. They are averaging 46 points per game, with 16 conceded.

Of course, we would always expect the SL team to win these games comfortably, but if Catalans have an off day, and Leigh produce the form they have been showing lately, there may just be a shock in store.

Of course their is a threat, Leigh have started the season brilliantly Alan. We havent had the best of starts but I would be very surprised if we were to slip up mate.

The SL team would always be hot favourites and a lot can happen between now and May. I'm confident we will lose our unbeaten record, for instance, given that we face Halifax, Barrow and Featherstone in our next three league games. (with the latter two games over Easter, while Featherstone have a rest on Good Friday)

Perhaps an interesting yardstick of our early season form was a very close game against a full strength Harlequins team - a game that we only lost in the very final minute.

We are all looking forward to seeing 'new' visitors at our Sports Village stadium and our sure that your guys will enjoy playing there. Indeed, many of them already have, when they represented France, last season.

As a sideline, I am the editor of Leigh's matchday magazine, 'The Centurion' snd will be looking to get material for our programe that day. Can you recommend a good source, for player information, and photos, please?
