Scott Dureau has been appointed "elite pathways coach" at the Newcastle Knights - which basically means he works with a small group of under 16s, 18s and 20s juniors.
I had the pleasure of watching Scott put them through their drills earlier this year, and he has it down to a fine art. he basically has the left and right playmakers working with the centres and wingers. The playmakers put in every type of kick and the wingers and centres take turns defending and attacking and practice things like batting the ball back, taking high balls, running onto grubbers etc etc. It doesn't sound like anything special, but they have it all down to a fine art. Scott has 16 year olds doing every trick in the book.
