Feedback on the forum and website in 2016 : Wed Dec 07, 2016 9:11 am  

A lot of time, effort, blood, sweat... oh ok then... a moderate amount of work has gone into making this forum and website work for you all in 2016. But as we close the year, what have we done well and what could improve? I can't promise it will be a whole lot different next year but we will certainly try to be better. James

Honestly mate, top effort.

Looks very professional.

On the match reports probably some better formatting and better reports could improve them. I can write a proper one up if you want for each game I see but Can't promise they will be 100% objective haha.

In an age where you can get key clips on your phone within minutes, I wonder what the point of match reports is any more. Less so with RL, more so with football, you can reasonably expect someone who cares even a bit to have seen the key moments through one medium or another. Yes, something to tie together all the action into some sort of narrative rather than a series of unlinked Youtube clips/Vines is of value, but also something either more analytical or more offbeat/more partisan than straight reportage. Wonder if Ricky fancies doing a tactics blog?

Obviously game day is the focus, but away from that you need people willing/able to contribute features (semi) regularly just to keep it moving. And that's the hard part.
The ex-player/ex-coach thread always seems popular and with an increasing number of Frenchies playing outwith the club could be a regular news item - like a quick news wrap for ex-Dragons and other French. The domestic coverage adds a dimension that other Super League clubs don't get.

As always, your barriers are time and people with it.

I agree with all of that.

Its nice to have a website as a reference point to list players and hall of famers etc.

I have tried to make the youtube content part of the site.

The forum I think has got better with more traffic that previous years which is a positive.

John is right about the domestic season giving us almost year round fixtures and results to enjoy.
