I was there and so was Bird. For the first 20 minutes we were completely on top and they had no possession in our half.
They kept giving us the ball back and though I was increasingly concerned about the score I was certain we would win.Finally Duport caught a pass and went over-something he twice failed to do later.We turned down a kick at goal from in front of the posts.Then calamity led to catastrophe..Yaha was correctly sin binned and we conceded 3 tries while he was off .After a good try from Yaha walsh was sin binned for abusing the ref and they scored again etc.etc.and Duport was sin binned.
We have an excellent spine but also far too many players who just run at their opponents.These players have no guile and minimal skill. They never offload or pass.I am referring to Casty, Moa ,although he at least makes ground ,Simon, Garcia ,Duport and yesterday, I am sorry to say,Inu . So despite virtual continuous possession in the first half hour we rarely looked dangerous and ended up much more tired than they were.
