Smith well past his best too. Don't know those others mentioned, but we could say the same about Mick Dobson when he turfed up so who knows.
We already have one young talent in Albert, so maybe Smith a better option in that regard.

Jackson Hastings is barely OK, not an outstanding player. He was released by the Sydney Roosters to Manly after failing to impress, and when the Roosters signed Luke Keary. Manly have reduced Hastings to a reserve.

Mitchell Cornish would be good for Catalans. However, Trent Robinson is not going to release Mitchell Cornish, especially given the fact that Cooper Cronk and possibly Luke Keary will be unavailable during the pre-State of Origin weekends. Cornish is needed as a backup for those weeks, and also in case of injury to either Cronk or Keary.

The Canterbury player is a complete unknown to me.

Better to try for the Melbourne Storm Canadian heritage half Ryley Jacks, who was pipped by another player, Brodie Croft, to replace Cooper Cronk at the Melbourne Storm.

There is not much point bringing in a half who isnt gonna control the team.

Matty Smith is too old it but christ at least he would give us some structure and control, I would take him in a heartbeat.

All those aussie options are not the best, Cornish would be okay but they won't let him go. Ryley Jacks is a good player but not very experienced and also not a typical 7. Plus Storm will want him for origin time.

Christ don't get hodkinson. He is one knock on his knee away from retiring. Exactly the same as Walsh. Will we ever learn??
