Just give them a chance. Who knows what will happen. I do feel sorry for those supporters in south wales who have supported them from the 1st game, its like thanks for your support, but goodbye.

Imagin if a football club just moved to another town, hang on there was. Wimbledon, now MK Dons.

errr, the RFL have just given a Welsh club the opportunity to waste resources and 3 years on "a chance"! How many chances do we offer. What next??

and there's the rub I believe. There doesn't appear to be any meaningful market research for selling the RL product in Wrexham. AN untried RL area that has an established footy club. Apart from the odd one or two fans who will attend and some out of 'curiosity', this hurridly organised venture, spurred as much by LS desire to get shut of the Crusaders ASAP than any developmental reason, appears to be pinning it's hope on an increased away support to function!! There does not appear to be any other firm business planning at the mo other than someone with a few bob prepared to underwrite the coming season, and the welsh/rfl have been there before. Madness. Shear bloody madness.
Woods and Lewis would struggle to manage a fish and chip shop.
Leighton Samuels does not come out of this sordid affair with any shred of credibility.
The current arrangement for the club has 'sold out' the south welsh fans and made another mockery of the game - tho to be fair, making a mockery out of twit and tw@ is not difficult!

Will there be a Wrexham ARL development team in the Merit league 2010 & maybe even one from Deeside?

Too early to say as obviously they will need a team of people prepared to put the hours in. I think Wrexham and Deeside may be a bit over ambitous.

in which case you have to say "what's the point"???

A situation made even worse by the strides made in S Wales with their junior set-up! I can see that falling off big time now!

The newly formed South Wales club are set to continue their excellent work with juniors in the region.

I'm trying to be realistic - hey, we could always go down the preferred route of forming Wrexham Raiders and Deeside Dragons straight away, enter them in the RLC and then moan when they don't fulfill any fixtures. That'll keep the flatcappers busy.

I know the level of work and processes needed to start a successful, long-lasting amateur club and it's not easy. I hope somebody wants to step up and form an open-age club in Wrexham and I'll help them out but it might not happen overnight.

Junior development in the area is something, I am sure, the "new" Crusaders are well aware of and will pursue.

Hopefully Crusaders will be able to give Gerald at Bangor University RL a lift in his efforts to develop RL in North Wales. Its thanks to Gerald etc at Bangor that Tallaght RL survived to see 2010. A strong RL presence in North Wales can really help RL in the Republic.

Im with Rotherham Fev Fan. The idea of Celtic was to spread the game in the south of Wales. Doing so alienated most of the rugby league heartlands when it was clear to most that the club would go the way every other team in the south of wales would go!

The move to north wales does 2 things keeps alive the team in wales claim and ensures attendances will be boosted due to away followings! Its a typical RFL farce and if they get another franchise then teams like Fax, Leigh, Widnes, Fev, Barrow etc might as well pack up!!

I never went to Bridgend in principle! I may not bother with Wrexham either!!

I agree my team widnes will never get into superleague with the

rfl in charge.I feel we are wasting our money when our youth will get picked up by a superleague club. This is so unfair on all championship clubs.I like the game to spread but not to the detremental of the heartland clubs.Widnes, doncaster etc never get help if go into adminstration, we got a 9 point penalty deduction. No offence to celtic but i believe sport should be all on equal terms. :SHOOT: RFL
