Indeed, but you said they were 'ALL' English or Australian. I forgot Ben Flower too (also from somewhere in South Wales)
We've got the five Welsh lads, Gaz Raynor, Tommy Lee, Jamie Thackray, Jordan James, Peter Lupton and Anthony Blackwood, so 11. Blackwood, James and Luke Dyer are all Welsh internationals too.
11.nothing wrong with that id say at least for now
Oh dear, the bitterness just ekes out of your whinge. Pedanticism is not one of my attributes, so to everyone but you, Crusaders are playing their seond season in SL

Ooooh big text. I'm so impressed
"Everyone"? Are you the spokesperson for "everyone" then?
I think you'll find that a company in its first year of trading cannot actually be in its SECOND year of rugby, "pedanticism" or not.
So basically what you are saying is that where facts are concerned, majority rules? Ever heard of Copernicus? Don't go sailing beyond the horizon mate, you'll fall off the edge of the world.
"Bitterness" "whinge". Here's some more for you: "hysterical" "desperate"
Parry Gordon's passes,Les Boyd's strong runs,Mike Gregory's workrate,Des Drummond's tries,Jonathan Davies' sheer genius...........oh,and Alan Rathbone's punches! All memories of the legendary venue which was Wilderspool stadium. Gone maybe, but never, ever forgotten.
I think crusaders playeed very well on friday and will trouble a lot of teams in wrexham this year. I don't see them finishing bottom. People keep going on about halifax, leigh and widnes but how do we know for sure that they would do better in SL than crusaders? None of their coaches are better or more experienced than Brian Noble thats for sure. I think the crusaders deserve to be given a chance in Wrexham, and I wish them all the best(exept when they play warrington of course!).
Some might look at this as being harsh but I think it's fair. When are the Rugby League going to stop persisting with this fantasy expansion. If it hasn't worked by now, it never will! I'm all for reaching out to a wider audience with our game but not at the expense of historical clubs in the homelands.

With respect those figures prove nothing this is 2010 not 2003. Fax and Leigh have had their chance in the past and failed, time to give someone else a try I think.

cant speak for fax but we've had one crack at SL and yeah we failed miserably. but i dont think we had any chance at all.first of all the other teams in SL had already finalized there squads before we had even been promoted so that was a massive disadvantage it left us with those players who were injury prone or those who were simply not good enough. secondly it was P&R no 3years grace to allow us the chance to build a team that could hold its own in SL.so when you say we've had our chances your wrong in what you say.having said all that your right it is time to give other clubs a chance the only problem is do we offer clubs the oppertunity to come into RL and work there way to the top league along with all clubs on a level playing field or do we alienate even more people from the game and just stick a pin in a map and say that'll do?

The crusaders worked their way up through the leagues as far as league 1 and franchise application time. Okay they did not win promotion to SL they were franchised into it but Leigh,Halifax or Widnes would have been admitted under exactly the same rules had their own individual applications been succesful. I know a lot of Leigh and Widnes fans are annoyed over the move from south to north wales but given a choice between a club moving and simply closing down then moving has to be the better option doesn't it? Personally I wish the crusaders all the best for the future. Given time I believe the club will prosper and be a force in SL. Maybe Leigh would too but you have had a chance in the past and it did not work. This is the first chance for the crusaders and they should be allowed to take it in my opinion. Good luck to them!
