As an executive season ticket holder I have just recieved an e-mail stating that the bars at the club are closed for refurbishment on Monday. The only bar that is open is the bottom bar but that was so full for the RU game yesterday that it was impossible to get served there. I am thinking of going to Tesco's before the game and getting a couple of cans to smuggle in. although the bottle bar under the hospitality boxes is now a fully functioning bar with pumps for draught as well. It opened yesterday and was OK and well served by Gerald on the day.

Not the best timing but we have enough bars at the ground to cope and if you want a drink by any means you will find it.

Plus there's always the Brewers. Practically the same as being in the ground.

Just to update the bars
The top bar where everyone usually drinks by the entrance--CLOSED
Rafters bar........................................................................CLOSED
presidents bar...................................................................CLOSED?

The top bar is actually being turned into a coffee lounge so I don't know if you will be able to get a pint in there after it is refurbished

Executive season ticket holders can get served in the hospitality boxes both before and after the match but I assume that it will be well scrutinised by the stewards as to who they will serve in there.

Yeah good for the EST holders.

With year round rugby at BF nowadays, at some point ANY renovation work on the old dump is gonna cut into some match or other.

We'll live with it and watch the old girl recapture some of her youth again under the new BF Ltd company.

Till then for non-EST holders, there's plenty of places to get a drink before, during and after the game.
