Another Rugby League novel on the way. : Sat Jun 16, 2012 11:29 am
Having now written four novels (One Winter, One Spring, One Summer and One Autumn) all with a strong Rugby League background, I am now half way through writing the next one in the series. It will be set during the 2002 and 2003 seasons and again inspired by the old saying about work, "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller."As yet it does not have a title but many of the chapters I have completed do. They include "He was a Good Yorkshireman, Afternoon Tea in Bailiff Bridge, Stuck On The M62, A Day Out In Wigan, She's a Jehovah's Widnes, The Petition and The Girl from Wrexham.
On Saturday June 23rd, I will be in Waterstones store in the Huddersfield Kingsgate Centre from 10.30 onwards signing copies of One Autumn with its background of Work, Family Life and Rugby League in the 1990s.
I'll also be looking out for some new ideas so if you are looking around for a book to take on holiday, why not call in and see me.
