Misi Taulapapa : Thu Jul 03, 2014 11:15 pm
Common knowledge to most people but has been confirmed in an interview that Misi did reject a big money contract from Leigh in the offseason to stay at Sheffield. Went on to say he has no regrets and owes it to the fans to play out his career at Sheff. Goes to show his loyalty to the cause and respect for the fans, coach and club as a whole. Top man, top player and let's hope he scores a few on Sunday in a 'This is what you could have had' message to the Centurions!

Danny I think when Misi looks around the LSV , sees the plush Facilities and surroundings ,sees a decent sized noisy North Stand ,looks at the Leigh line-up for the game , and finally looks up at the Scoreboard and sees Sundays Final Score , he will say to himself "I must have been MAD to turn all this Down "    .Charlie knows .Nowt wrong with being Loyal , I admire that as a Quality , but to choose the Seagulls over Leigh is just being CRAZY .

Come into Legends Bar before the game for a drink .Ask for Charlie .

Just goes to show that respect and loyalty goes a long way in this game and how much Taulapapa is rated and loved by the fans can't be described. We'll give it a good go against you lot on Sunday, may even be closer than what you think!

My lift is still being negotiated so whether I end up at LSV on Sunday is still in question, although I do think I'll be shouting my lungs out of my body when Misi goes over for the winner. :ROCKS:

Hope the pitch is nice and dry , if so im going for a score of Leigh 32 v Seagulls 16 , we are due a good performance after the last 2 games , but I would settle for a win .

Danny, if you get the chance to listen to our coach's pre-match interview, (on LCTV) he admits to trying to sign Misi. However, he does put a different slant on who offered him the greater financial inducement for this season - suggesting that loyalty wasn't necessarily the clincher!

Still, he's a highly talented player - who wouldn't want him in their Championship team, eh?

Well Charlie was nearly right  not much out , again we dropped a few balls , but you played well in the second half .As for Misi ?500 tries  he wouldn't score that many if he played till he was 300 , unless of course he decides to take a pay cut and come to a successful club ,Leigh . .As Jim Bowen used to say "Look what you could have Had ,Misi .  .

Gutted we lost but would have took a bonus point any day. And haha, he's a top man is Misi and gives his all in every game, sure he still doesn't have regrets on staying because we'll be fine. Back to back Grand Finals is successful if you ask me, well done today!

Well for what it's worth I thought you played a lot better than you did at the Owlerton.

Glad you got the bonus point and with 10 minutes to go I was worried.
