We should have a themed away day for the Batley game on Easter Monday, how about we all go with Misi Taualapap masks, as its the nearest he'll get to an Eagles game for a while!

We discussed this today and weve decided that all Eagles fans attending the game at Batley should wear retro shirts (in order that we fit in with the local area we should turn the clock back about 15/20 years).

The "Wembley" shirt from three(?) seasons ago is about as retro as you'll get from me, any older and the shirts are too small!

Gonna dig deep into my treasure chest of old eagles shirts. Got some corkers in there but the one that stands out has got TROPHY on the chest.


Ps. Is that Depeche Mode song sung at Wendy matches?

No it is not irrelevant. No pork at the Eagles. I ain't gonna sing no Blades songs and never have done since my first Eagles match in 1984. Respect, this is the Eagles, not wendy, not the Blades.

Great atmosphere today. EEEEEAAAGGLES will do. When I hear pig noises at EAGLES games I'm gonna BOOOOOOO.

The song is sung by Celtic, Liverpool, Burnley just to name a few, it has been heard at the last couple of Wednesday matches but not exactly wholesale chanting. It's not a Wednesday song, it's a generic chant that we want to try and convert into a bit of an Eagles anthem as no one else uses it in RL (as far as I know).

Booing while we sing it would be completely counter productive and completely pointless as you would be drowned out anyway. Eagleblade off here was singing it as loud as anyone today, further proving my point that it's not a Wednesday song.

EEEEEagles and Eagles! (clap, clap, clap) are all well and good but they're hardly original and are extremely repetitive. Just can't get enough is a great chant and will be continued to be heard throughout the season.

Also less of the pig stuff, I am a moderator you know...

Well, knock me out. Mod you may be. The power you are. Ban me if you like. JEEZ you power mad WENDY. Only posted on here 3 or 4 times. But my love for the EAGLES is Forever, no doubt much like yourself, but unlike you I ain't ever gonna bring my football habits to the beautiful EAGLES.

Fair play though, other than totally ruining a true 80's classic song todays atmosphere was ACE.
